The trailer of upcoming web series on Disney+ Hotastar’s Aarya has been released on the internet. Sushmita Sen is making a comeback through this series after five years. The trailer gives us a glimpse of a good web series where Aarya played by Sen transforms from a good wife and dutiful mother to a fierce woman when her husband is shot in daylight.
She takes over his business of illegal medicines and can go to any length for protecting her children. It is interesting to watch how she deals with constant threats from her husband’s business partners and also being under constant police threat for running an international drug racket in the pretext of medicine business.Ram Madhvani, director of Neerja and director and writer of the series has packed it with many twists.Â
Ram Madhvani has promised in a statement that Aarya would be a refreshing and unpredictable watch. He said, “Every character has a purpose in Aarya’s journey as she goes from being a homemaker to a hardened criminal. I spent many years trying to build this world brick-by-brick, but I didn’t do it alone – 588 others from the cast and crew have built this show from the ground up.”
The series is an Indian remake of Dutch crime thriller Penoza. The web series also stars Namit Das, Sikandar Kher, Chandrachur Singh, Vinod Rawat, Ankur Bhatia, Manish Chaudhari, Alexx O’Nell and Sugandha Garg mong others. The web series will be streaming on June 19.
