The joint collaboration between Karan Johar & Anurag Kashyap turned out to be quiet successful lately & Hasee Toh Phasee isn’t an exception either. Directed by Vinil Mathew, Hasee Toh Phasee doesn’t offer anything new in terms of storyline but the movie is uplifted by excellent treatment to the screenplay, which resulted in a well-packaged product for the box office. The highlight of the movie as expected is Parineeti Chopra. This girl is simply amazing and within a short span of a career, she poses an extreme threat to the top-level actresses. She has been able to leave the mark in all of her movies & Hasee Toh Phasee is driven around with her character.
Meeta (Parineeti) is a new age free-spirited girl who is unable to cope with the conservativeness of her traditional Gujarati family. She runs away from her home during her elder sister wedding & accidentally bumps into Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra). Nikhil is in love with Meeta’s sister Karishma (Adah Sharma). Meeta makes a reappearance after 7 years & by the time Nikhil is engaged to Karishma & wedding is being planned. As Karishma can’t take Meeta back to her home, Nikil and Meeta end up sharing rented accommodation. What happens next is to be enjoyed in theatres and movie is a big-time family entertainer.
Sidharth Malhotra justifies the faith entrusted by the directors and movie is bound to increase his fan following. Adah Sharma is another highlight of the movie & it won’t take her long to grab the main leads after her performance in the romantic drama. Manoj Joshi, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi all ends up delivering well-crafted performances.
