Ever since Bhag Milkha Bhag struck gold at the box office, sports biographies are the newest flavour in Bollywood. Based on the life of Indian origin former world boxing champion, Mary Kom is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali while direction has been undertaken by Omung Kumar. c while support starcast includes Darshan Kumaar (Mary Kom’s husband), Zachary Coffin (boxing coach) & Shishir Sharma.
Mary Kom will be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 4th September. The movie is slotted for a worldwide release on September 5.
