Ashish Shakya left his engineering degree in 2006, became a full-time comedy writer, and did a great favour for the science community. He ventured into stand-up soon after as the strangers approved of the style he followed while writing.
He is a member of AIB that is India’s most well-known anthology. He has been part of many exciting projects like AIB Knockout that is a comedy roast of India featuring Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar.
He also co-starred in On Air with AIB that was a news comedy show telecasted on Hotstar and primetime on TV. His humour column was published weekly in The Hindustan Times for six years. As a stand-up comedian, he has many shows under his belt, toured across India, Singapore, Dubai, Australia and UK, and always looks out for the next big creative show.
