The story of High moves around a new drug called Magic. The web series has been divided into two timelines. One timeline is from the 1970s which is a background for the present timeline. The 70s timeline is about a doctor and his three mates who are looking for the specific herb in a forest which can be used for curing Alzheimer’s.
It is a high voltage drama series. The performances of all the actors are really good to keep you glued till the end. Akshay Oberoi has given one of the finest performances on screen. Ranvir Shorey delivers a good performance as a hitman. All the characters of the series also render a high amount of drama with their performances.
The composition and cinematography of the series are also great and can be said to be one of the important characters of High. The colour scheme, cinematography and composition gives emotion and depth to each and every scene and also adds unpredictability and gloominess to the storyline.
High is a series which has been smartly released at a time when the word high has become common among people. The performances of all the actors are great but due to bad scripting, the overall magic fails. The drama keeps you glued but feels unrealistic at times. Some plot holes are visible and the story loses grip on many occasions.
