Torbaaz Movie Review is the story of Dr Naseer Khan played by Sanjay Dutt of Indian Army who returns to Afghanistan after losing his near and dear ones in a terror attack. After meeting kids from a refugee camp in Afghanistan his excitement for life gets ignited and he has a passion to give back to the society by sharpening the cricketing skills of the children in refugee camps.
The fear of the place and the sad memories attached to them are so much etched in his heart that he hesitates to go to the place. His wife and son are blown up by a suicide bomber in Kabul while he is holding a post in Indian Embassy. The bomber is a 10-year-old child. Despite the pain and trouble, he visits the refugee camp.
However, Hiroo Keswani fails in his attempt to portray the crime drama well behind the camera. Martand Mishra, the art director of has made a set which is far from what a far zone looks like. The emotional trauma that the doctor goes through during the film does not feel relatable and real. The trick could have been done if we could have had a glimpse of his life before the tragedy occurred.
Dutt is an old man whose hope is the less privileged children in Afghanistan and he goes to great lengths to save the movie from becoming an endeavour which highlights the tragedy of humankind. He fails in his attempt to do so. Nargis Fakhri is a courageous NGO worker Ayesha who tries to get the look of her character right but it is her acting skills which require serious attention.
A film with a seasoned actor like Sanjay Dutt and on a very delicate subject could have given a beautiful cinematic experience for the loyalists who support terrorism. The story however does not retain its gravity till the end. We have compiled Torbaaz Movie Ratings for your convenience.
