Somebody’s birthday party became a reason of sorrow for someone else! Poor event manger of the bash that was organized to celebrate Preity Zinta’s birthday at her apartment in Quantum park building. The Khar police has imposed a penalty of Rs. 5000 for flouting noise pollution rules.

On February 1, 2009, the slumdwellers of the adjoining areas had complained to the police about the noise pollution that the party was creating and disturbance caused in their sleep. After this, the police team had reached the actress’ residence and instructed her to lower the volume of the music but after the police was gone, she again played the music full blast.

However, the people have blamed the police was for being biased and giving an unequal treatment to them and the actress.  But the police has tried to solve the matter by taking action against the event manager under Bombay Police Act.
