Karthik Calling Karthik Music Review
Without a fraction of doubt album of the year. Music of Karthik Calling Karthik is a smash hit from the very first time you listen to it. Shankar Ehsaan Loy once again delivers a smashing hit that will touch your hearts.  Music is the soul of any bollywood movie and expectation from Karthik Calling Karthik has been raised considering the excellant soundtrack.

Lyrics of all the songs are written by the legendary Javed Akhtar. First track in the album, “Hey Ya” is very catchy westernized number by Clinton Cerejo, Shankar Mahadevan & Loy Mendonsa. It is bound to be a chartbuster among youngsters. Remix version of the same song is also available in the album. Highlight of the soundtrack is a very southful number by KK – “Jaane Yeh Kya Hua”. It won’t take long for the song to hit No 1 spot in all the countdowns. KK once again proves his dominance over singing romantic numbers in bollywood. “Kaisi Hai Yeh Udaasi” is the only sad track in the album performed by Kailash Kher & Sukanya Purayastha. The dancing track of the album comes in the form of “Uff Teri Adaa” performed by Shankar Mahadeven & Alyssa Mendonsa.

Most of the songs of the soundtrack are bound to be hit and it’s a must buy for music lovers.

Paa Music Review
Classic & unconventional soundtrack from one of the most awaited movies of all time.

Movie features Amitabh Bachchan playing the most difficult character in his 50+ years long career in Film industry. Soundtrack of the movie which just released showcases what we can expect out the movie. Ilaiyaraja has given one of the most melidious album in 2009. Most of the songs in the album are bound to be chartbusters soon.

‘Mudhi Mudhi Ittefaq’ Se sung by Shilpa Rao is the most awesome track in the album. It is one of the track in the album which one can’t stop listening to again & again. ‘Udhi Udhi Ittefaq Se’ is another version of the same track. ‘Gali Mudhi Ittefaq Se’ the male version of the song has vocals by Shaan & will surely win your heart.

‘Hichki hichki’ performed by Sunidhi Chauhan is an fast paced track which fails to leaves much of an impression. Next track ‘Mere paa’ is sung by Amitab Bachchan himself. More than a song it’s a narration in child vocals. ‘Gumm summ gumm’ is another track in the album which is quiet melodious & is performed by Bavatharini (Ilaiyaraja’s daughter).

On a whole Paa has a good soudtrack with few chartbusters. All songs in the album do not deserve same rating but on an overall album scores good.

Chandni Chowk To China Music Review
The album ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ does not leave its impression on the listeners at once. All six songs are more or less similar to each other. The first track ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It’s already on the way of becoming a rage. It’s a good amalgamation of Indian, Oriental and Western rhythm. The ultimate result is an appealing one. Neeraj Sridhar’s magical voice has made it even better. Aunskha Manchandani has also added brilliance to the song but it’s Shankar Mahadevan, who ultimately does wonders in the song.

Another presentation is the same track ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ but it is set to a different tune and has got different lyrics and presentation. It has been composed by Bohemia. This song narrates the life story of Akshay Kumar and what all he went through to reach the pinnacle of success.

The third track ‘SIDHU’ focuses on the reel character of Akshay Kumar in the movie. The song has been composed by Kailash-Paresh-Naresh. It has an Indian music touch to it. You will have to listen to this track a number of times to understand its lyrics and rhythm.

Song by Bappi Lahiri – Bappa Lahiri disappoint the listeners with ‘India se aaya mera dost.’ However, ‘Tere Naina’ by Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal are melodious to listen to.

Kidnap Music Review

Pritam has dominated the year 2008 in music industry. Music of Race, Jannat, Kismat Connection, Singh is King etc all have done extremely well. Sandeep has composed the first track of the album. The song ‘Mit Jaaye’ is a theme-based music track that is the highlight of the film. It has been effectively sung by Sandeep Vyas.

The third track ‘Mausam’ resembles ‘Halka Halka’ from the film ‘Chocolate.’ Shreya Ghoshal has beautifully rendered this song. It’s a seductive number and is a trademark of Pritam’s melody.

The fourth track of the music album ‘Haan ji’ by Adnan Sami reminds of ‘Maaf Karo’ (Mission Kashmir). In this song, the entire family and friends get together in the movie. The song is actually not too good to listen to and could have been eliminated from the movie. ‘Meri Ek Ada Shola’ is a below average track that does not at all seem to be composed by an able composer like Pritam. Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh and Akriti Kakkar have lent their vocals to this number and added Middle East touch to the song.

Verdict : It’s an average music album. You can avoid buying it

Raaz 2 Music Review

The music of the latest horror flick ‘Raaz 2’ is melodious as well as haunting at the same time. The first song ‘Mahi’ has been sung by Toshi Sabri, one of the most popular contestants on TV reality shows. The song begins with slow note but Toshi takes it to a different horizon with his superb throw and singing expertise. The furious notes and thrill set in the song by Toshi will drive the listeners into another world. The music director brother duo Sharib—Toshi have certainly delivered a fine example of brilliant song.

The second song of the album ‘Soniye’ by Sonu Nigam sets the mood of the film wherein the actor attempts to take the actress to bed. Sonu has yet again proved his mettle in singing high-pitch tunes. Shreya Ghoshal has also lent her voice but she is almost unnoticeable in this song. A good song!

Singer K.K has sung ‘O Jaana’. It is an energizing number with lots of drum beats. Raju Singh has composed this song. It is an example of good rendition by the singer. Song ‘Kaisa Ye Raaz Hai’ is a haunting track sung by K.K. The song is not good to hear as it seems that singer is himself not interested in singing the song with background artistes lending their unrequired and odd support. Gaurav Dasgupta has delivered a melodious composition ‘O Banda Re’ with K.K. as singer. He has fully justified the song. Sad version of ‘Soniyo’ sucks the listener. Mahi (Rock with Me) will make you yearn to listen to the original track.
