Aloo Chat Movie Review

Aloo Chat Movie ReviewMovie Rating:
★★★★½☆☆☆☆☆

Many directors draw their inspiration from the renowned director of his times, Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Robby Grewal has tried to imitate Hrishikesh’s style of narrating the film but has simply failed.

Aloo Chaat is spiceless so it fails to glue the audiences to their seats. The story goes like this that Nikhil (Aftab Shivdasani) comes to India to visit his family where he is forced to meet different Punjabi girls for marriage. However, he wishes to get married to his girlfriend, Aaman Sharif. To bring his girlfriend into the damily, he seeks the help of his father’s friend (Manoj Pahwa) as his father (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) is quite strict.

Audiences can easily predict the climax and course of events so the film fails to keep them interested in the script. The music by Mehfuz Husain and Vipin Mishra is melodious and the dialogues have been well written.

The film has some funny moments but those are very few. Aftab and Aamna have quite a less scope to perform. The supporting cast has performed really well. The film is just okay. So if you don’t really have anything to do this weekend, you can think about it!
